Description:The Children and Family Resource Center is a one-stop resource for families to access information and services related to childcare, early childhood education and parenting support.

Quality Standards:The Center assisted more than 6700 children, parents and early childhood educators last year. Our Child Care Resource and Referral (CCR&R) delivers services to families and child care providers in accordance with quality standards developed by the NC Division of Child Development and the NC Partnership for Children (Smart Start), and utilizes the research-based Environment Rating Scales in improving child care quality in Henderson County. Our Parents as Teachers (PAT) Program provides in-home parenting education and support by certified Parent Educators using the Born to Learn Curriculum to Henderson County families with children through age three. PAT is a nationally acclaimed, research-based parent education and family support program.
