| Description: | PREVENT (Preventing Violence through Education, Networking, and Technical Assistance) is designed to facilitate the change process to stop violence BEFORE IT BEGINS to help individuals and organizations nationwide reduce violence through local, state, tribal and national approaches.
On-site Institutes allow teams of participants to come together for an action-learning based training on the primary prevention of violence. Distance learning tools, such as online modules, allow participants unable to attend the Institute to receive key lessons that the Institute conveys. PREVENT uses experts in the violence and child maltreatment fields to provide high-quality instruction and technical assistance to all participants. |
